Duong Lam, a typical northern Vietnam village with many ancient features preserved, offers a tranquil and nostalgic weekend getaway.
Approximately 50 km from Hanoi, Duong Lam Ancient Village, located in the Son Tay town area of Hanoi, is a famous tourist destination known for its nostalgic rural culture and ancient charm. It is also the first ancient village in Vietnam to be awarded the title of National Historical and Cultural Relic by the state in 2006.
Today, Duong Lam still retains the distinctive features of a Northern Vietnamese village with images of village gates, banyan trees, water wharves, and communal courtyards, creating a picturesque ancient village.
